 Shear Express Current Project Status
The wool-harvesting machine has been upgraded so that it now totally controls and automatically positions the sheep throughout the de-fleecing process.
- There is no risk to shearers from kicking sheep along the conveyor
- The machinery automatically positions the sheep at each station for shearing
This makes Wool Harvesting shearing simpler, easier and safer for workers.

Field operations carried out during March and April to commission and test the machine have now come to a close due to the onset of winter.
During the off-season, work will be carried out to fully automate machine control along the conveyor, and change some inadequate valving to improve machine durability.
